Brittany is famous all over the world for its multitude of ancient standing stones and burial chambers. Their true purpose has fascinated researchers and enthusiasts for hundreds, if not thousands of years.

How and why were they built?

Why were certain places selected for the building of monuments?

How did these silent sentinels from the past relate to the land around them and the skies above them?

On a Timetrails in Brittany tour you will visit some of the best examples of lesser-known monuments, discovering more about their origins and use. Together we will consider the rituals and ceremonies that may have been performed at each of them and we explore the practicalities of building such long-lasting features.
